DISCLAIMER: I get all psychological and analytic about a concrete instance of me sinning particularly [yes, I know, technically, it should be “my sinning particularly,” but correct grammar is actually harder to understand in this case – it hinders comprehensibility…]. If confessions and analysis of a particular sin is not your kind of read, then you may want to find another post to read. Sorry… Anyway… Continue reading
I am now finished with the writing of my Pentateuch paper on Numbers 11:24-30.(Correction: I am finished with the writing of new content…I now have the unenviable task of editing my paper and cutting it down to ten pages…I’ll save that for tomorrow…oh wait, it’s past midnight already…I’ll save that for later today…) Woot woot. But here’s the take-home element from the paper: הִנֵּה (whaddaya know?!), if you are a believer united with Christ, then you have the Spirit of Yahweh, a Spirit of prophecy, so yes, you are a prophet! I wanted a break from writing and studying…
Okay. First post. Ha. Wow, I never thought I would blog. But then again, this is what happens when you’ve been working in a library for hours and have been checking facebook and email after every new sentence in your OT exegetical paper…Well, I figured it couldn’t hurt to write about my life. This will be my public journal, I guess, and whoever would want to waste their life reading what I have to write about my life deserves what they get. Anyway, about the title. Totally tongue-in-cheek. No such thing. There you go. I know, it’s so not cool for taking Westminster’s inside joke, because it’s not really funny. But I must say it gives me a good pseudonym for whenever Westminster will have their essay contest again. I hope none of the faculty will see this blog, because then “Brutus Facticus” wouldn’t really be a good pseudonym now would it?
But anyway, this is a good way for me to journal and record my life and thoughts. Also, it can’t hurt to get to write more, with no formats or conventions to follow. More stream of thought I guess, and no guilt with sentence fragments, or run-ons, for that matter. All because I was bored and saw a friend’s blog and decided maybe I could start one myself. Or at least just reserve the domain name early. Ha!
So yeah, first blog post. Woot woot! You might or might not hear more from me. We’ll see. Let me remember to link this with my facebook.
